Human rights - marginalized groups

The Foundation was founded in 2010 with a mission to build NGO capacities in order to create more active and viable civil society made up of devoted and functional NGOs that promote partnership in public and private sector and equal opportunities and fulfillment of human rights for all citizens. FSU in BiH supported a total of 58 projects implemented by NGOs and social enterprises and established cooperation with 56 local institutions at all government levels. It provided support to more than 56,000 beneficiaries, mostly from the most vulnerable and marginalized groups in BiH. It realized 160 trainings, evaluations or monitoring sessions for over 250 NGO representatives in the areas such as financial management, public procurement, EU project management. FSU in BiH publicized many research studies, almanacs of top practices and three policy briefs. FSU is a member of the NGO Council network, network Sporazum plus and UN Global Compact network, and the FSU staff recently participated as a member of the TACSO BIH Local Advisory Group.

IBHI was founded in 2008 with a mission to contribute to strengthening of social inclusion, reducing of poverty and poverty risks by providing professional assistance and capacity building of government institutions and NGOs. IBHI has publicized over 97 publications (studies, analyses, reports) regarding human rights, social inclusion and poverty, the local NGO sector, social policy and social protection reforms, gender equality, etc. It has also, through presentations and papers, taken part in over 30 international conferences. In 2009, IBHI received two international awards from UNDP and OECD for „excellence in measurement“ for the development of an original methodology for measurement of social exclusion. IBHI is a member and/or cofounder of several networks: NEVAC, Sporazum Plus, NGO Council, SESPI. IBHI played a key role in the adoption of national disability policy and entity strategies, Gender Equity and Equality Program BiH (GEEP), which resulted in the formation of entity Gender centers in the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska.
